How everything started...
Die Idee von GGRN manifestierte sich erstmals im Kopf unseres herrlichen Anführers und Gründers der VVJ (nein, falscher Film, noch mal) ... manifestierte sich also erstmals im Kopf von Stefan Scheuplein, alias zapf2000, der vor 13 Jahren das Bavarian Rock Radio ins Leben rief. Damals, wo Radiomachen noch umsonst war, Milch und Honig in breiten Flüssen durch unser schönes Deutschland wogten, wo die Gummistiefel noch aus Holz waren (und so weiter), bildete sich bereits eine kleine, aber feine Fangemeinschaft um das kleine, aber feine Webradio, das nach wenigen Jahren der Stagnation zu GGRN heranreifen sollte. Das Team wurde größer, es fanden sich immer mehr Leute, die gerne an diesem Projekt mitwirkten und denen es Vergnügen bereitete, sich einzubringen.
Later we developed to a union of people who wanted to do webradio with pleasure. ;) There, however, both the german GEMA and GvL, offended new laws so we had to pay lots of money, which we didn't have. So the only possibility was to join other webradios,exchange our experience in streaming technology with others and test new developments to improve the whole streaming technique.
Today finally we raise our heads and we're proud to say: "GGRN becomes public!" From now on we provide a live stream 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a great music mix, with many fabulous presenters and as an additional feature we offer our ultrajukebox, where the listener can choose his most wanted songs. They are played live over the stream fully automatic..
The GGRN team also meets repeatedly in the year to more or less fertile information events, so called Channelpartys, where we discuss different subjects around webradio. Cheers!
